Circa Sports to open Kentucky's largest sportsbook at The Mint Kentucky Downs

Circa Sports is preparing to open Kentucky's largest retail sportsbook at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs in Franklin, bringing expanded in-person betting capabilities to southern Kentucky and nearby Tennessee markets.

The sportsbook is scheduled to begin operations this summer. The facility will offer over 5,100 square feet of dedicated space and feature an 80-foot-wide LED screen and a 31-foot-wide odds board.

Designed for patrons aged 21 and older, the venue adds to Circa Sports’ growing US sports betting market presence, which also includes operations in Nevada, Illinois, Iowa, and Colorado.

The Kentucky venue will include multiple seating configurations: 113 stadium-style seats, luxury recliners, and three tiers of booth-style seating.

Bettors will be able to access five staffed betting counters—including one ADA-accessible station—and use four self-service kiosks located within the sportsbook and three more throughout The Mint Gaming Hall.

Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens said the venue will serve customers from both Kentucky and Tennessee, particularly from nearby Nashville.

“Together with The Mint, we're creating a high-tech betting destination that will bring a new level of live-viewing excitement for customers across both states. The Mint has been an exceptional partner in turning this vision into reality, and we look forward to welcoming guests later this year," said Stevens.

In addition to live wagering, the sportsbook will also house a VSiN (Vegas Stats & Information Network) broadcast studio. The studio will produce daily content, including live coverage and analysis, for sports betting audiences.
