The Casino Guru Awards, now entering their third year, will culminate their 2025 edition on June 6 with a live, invitation-only ceremony at the Hilton Hotel’s Portomaso Suite in St. Julian’s, Malta.

The event will bring together industry leaders and operators and recognize them for their work in responsible and innovative online gambling.

Since nominations opened in October 2024, the awards have aimed to acknowledge operators and professionals whose proactive business practices align with Casino Guru’s mission to improve safety and fairness in online gambling.

The nomination period closed on February 28, with shortlisted companies announced on March 7, alongside the opening of public voting for the “Voice of the People” and “Players’ Choice” categories.

Voting concluded on May 9, before the judging panel convened later that month to select winners based on the established evaluation criteria.

This year marks the first live Casino Guru Awards ceremony. The evening will include a three-course dinner with complimentary drinks and conclude with an afterparty at Tiffany Lounge, a wine lounge and club located in Portomaso.

The event is expected to bring together finalists, judges, and industry professionals, offering an opportunity to engage and exchange insights.

Finalists for 2025 include companies such as EveryMatrix, DraftKings, Pragmatic Play, BGaming, and Soft2Bet. The full list of award categories covers operational and social responsibility areas, including:

  • Fairest Bonus Policy
  • Fairest General Terms and Conditions
  • Most Impactful Social Responsibility Initiative
  • Best Implementation of Responsible Gambling Tools
  • Most Transparent Casino
  • Most Effective Handling of Complaints
  • Most Ethical Approach to Marketing
  • iGaming Changemaker of the Year
  • Players’ Choice Casino (public vote)
  • Voice of the People (public vote with over 150,000 votes cast)

Casino Guru’s PR and Creative Projects Director, Daniela Sliva, described the awards as an effort to recognize those contributing to a more transparent industry.

This is more than an awards show—it's a movement. We're proud to celebrate those working toward a fairer, more responsible iGaming world, and to do so in a way that prioritizes transparency above all," said Sliva.

The judging process requires panel members to declare conflicts of interest and involves direct discussions with nominees. Public voting categories engage the player community, integrating their perspective into the awards.

For those unable to attend, Casino Guru News will provide comprehensive coverage of the ceremony and results. The awards intend to maintain a transparent and structured approach as a means to identify companies progressing standards for fairness, responsibility, and customer service within the online gambling sector.
