Regulating the Game announces Call for Speakers is open for its sixth edition in Sydney

Gambling law and regulation conference Regulating the Game has announced that the Call for Speakers is now officially open for its sixth edition, taking place from March 9-11, 2026, at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

The conference welcomes diverse voices from across the regulatory and industry landscape to contribute to a program that explores the sector’s most pressing challenges and boldest opportunities. The conference provides a platform to explore ideas, share practical insights, and help shape a well-governed and forward-looking industry - "one that strikes the right balance between regulatory rigour, technological advancement, and compelling entertainment experiences," the organizers noted.

Regulating the Game 2026 Sydney will offer a forum to deepen regulatory capability, advance sector knowledge, and provoke rich discussion on the complex challenges and opportunities shaping gambling policy, compliance, and industry practice.

"This year's Call for Speakers invites proposals that spark curiosity, foster discussion and understanding, and drive innovation and uplift," according to a press release. Organizers detailed that they are seeking keynote contributions and panel insights across a diverse range of themes, including:

• Behavioural insights, harm minimisation and safer gambling outcomes

• Facilitating conditions for safer gambling and a vibrant industry

Applications to speak are open until October 31, 2025. However, early submission is encouraged due to anticipated strong demand. "Selected speakers will join a lineup of global thought leaders, regulators, industry executives, and compliance experts committed to advancing policy reform, showcasing industry innovation and excellence, and promoting ethical leadership, while also celebrating the creativity, energy, and entertainment that define the gambling sector," the organizers concluded.

Regulating the Game 2026 will also feature the inaugural RTG Global Awards Gala Dinner, the return of Pitch! at the Sydney Opera House, and an expanded Exhibition Showcase, bringing together progressive ideas, products, and professionals.
