Atlantic City casinos are set to kick off what industry leaders expect to be a banner summer season, buoyed by over $200 million in capital improvements, a completed $40 million beach restoration, and the return of large-scale events like airshows and concerts.

"Atlantic City casinos are ready to welcome new and returning visitors this summer with the best dining, entertainment and gaming amenities on the East Coast," said Mark Giannantonio, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ). He added: "Exciting entertainment attractions and unique offerings are essential to continue to attract visitors to our great city. That is why the casino industry continues to reinvest in our properties to create world-class experiences for our customers."

According to the LIGHT 2024 Impact report, Atlantic City casino operators invested more than $200 million last year in enhancing dining, retail, and gaming spaces. Over the past five years, the industry has funneled more than $1 billion into revitalization efforts.

The sector also remains a pillar of the regional economy, employing 23,000 people, over 80% of whom reside in Atlantic County. The county also leads the state in tourism, accounting for 10.91 million overnight stays and 13.1 million same-day visitors in 2024, according to the New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism.

“Atlantic City is an iconic seaside destination with diverse cuisine, headline entertainment, and unique experiences,” said Gary Musich, president and CEO of Atlantic City. “If you're looking to create memories this summer, look no further than Atlantic City.”

The city is also seeing strong momentum in the meetings and conventions space. In the first quarter of 2025, Atlantic City hosted 12 events, generating 39,843 room nights, welcoming over 104,000 attendees, and producing nearly $80 million in economic impact.

Major events are expected to bolster summer traffic, including the Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival on July 15–16, which will feature aerial performances and city-wide entertainment.

Casino properties are also unveiling new attractions and amenities. Bally’s has opened Park Place Prime, a gourmet steakhouse; Borgata launched Noodles, a Pan-Asian concept; and Caesars debuted The Hook, a rotating live performance. Hard Rock reintroduced its nightclub, The Balcony, while Golden Nugget renovated guest rooms. Ocean Casino Resort will open Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar this summer, and Resorts is relaunching an expanded Landshark Beach Bar.

Entertainment headliners scheduled for the season include Ashanti, Erykah Badu, Sam Hunt, Heart, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler, and Tom Segura.
