Swiss Casinos secures ISO 14001 certification
Swiss Casinos has officially received ISO 14001 certification, a key milestone in its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy.
The ISO 14001 standard sets out internationally recognized requirements for Environmental Management Systems, helping organizations control and reduce their environmental impact. The certification confirms Swiss Casinos meets strict criteria for environmental planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
"Our commitment to the environment is a deep as it is authentic, and we have long been working towards reducing our impact on the environment while improving environmental performance,” said Marcel Tobler, CEO of Swiss Casinos.
“The team has done an incredible job of not only meeting the standards set under ISO 14001 but exceeding them, ensuring Swiss Casinos sets the standard for others to follow,” he added.
The certification strengthens the company’s environmental credentials and aligns it with best practices in sustainability. Benefits include greater operational efficiency, improved compliance with environmental regulations, and enhanced reputation among stakeholders.
Swiss Casinos operates four locations in Zürich, St. Gallen, Pfäffikon, and Schaffhausen, and plans to open a new casino in Winterthur later this year. It also runs swisscasinos.ch, the most profitable online casino in Switzerland.
