Yesterday, SAGSE returned to Panama after several years of absence, betting on a recovery of the Central American and Caribbean market, boosted by the growth of online gambling.
"We are very pleased and excited with this return. We wanted to get back in touch with the Panamanian market, as well as with the rest of Central America and the Caribbean, but not with a massive event, but with an exclusive, boutique model, in which businessmen, operators, and regulators would find the best framework for doing business and training. And in this regard, I think we managed to exceed our own expectations," Alan Burak, Vice-President of SAGSE, explained in an exclusive interview with Yogonet.
Yesterday kicked off with the SAGSE Summit, the conference organized by Monografie, which featured three keynote speakers in a full session.
The official welcome was given by the head of Panama's Gaming Control Board (JCJ), and the first of the talks sought to explain the regulatory panorama in Central America and the Caribbean, with an approach by Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes and José Carlos Figueroa (GLI).
Subsequently, Carlos Fonseca Sarmiento, CEO of Gaming Law SAC and former gaming regulator in Peru (1997-2001), gave an outstanding overview of the situation in Latin America in general and some of its main markets (Argentina, Peru, Brazil, and Paraguay).
At the end, Gustavo Adamovsky, dean of UCES (Argentina) and neurosciences specialist, spoke to analyze the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in strategic decision making.
"We have an event 100% for businessmen, where business is the center of focus. We managed to organize an event of extreme quality, with an exclusive profile, and a 5-star service, as only a casino hotel like the Sortis in Panama can offer. The fact that the conference room was at full capacity shows us that our work is the right one, and we want to keep moving forward on this path," Burak concluded.
