A new hotel could soon rise near Allegiant Stadium, with Clark County commissioners set to review plans for the project next week.

The proposed eight-story, 220-room hotel would be located at the southwest corner of Valley View Boulevard and Quail Avenue, less than a mile from the Raiders' $2 billion stadium, the Las Vegas Review- Journal reported.

The plans, filed with the county, include amenities such as a ballroom, fitness center, spa and nail salon as well as a sushi bar. A rooftop recreation area featuring a pool and space for outdoor entertainment is also part of the design.

As per county records, the hotel would be an Embassy Suites. The Clark County Commission is scheduled to review the project on May 7.

The hotel site is currently situated in a largely industrial area, but plans for the surrounding Stadium District aim to transform the area into a hub of services and amenities supporting the stadium.

The report also added that a letter from a law firm representing the landowner notes that the hotel would be within walking distance of the stadium.
