Online casino and sportsbook Stake has appointed legendary jockey Frankie Dettori as its latest global ambassador, adding one of horse racing’s most celebrated figures to its expanding portfolio of sports personalities.
Dettori, widely considered one of the greatest jockeys in the sport’s history, has accumulated 287 Group 1 wins across a career spanning more than three decades. The Italian rider famously swept all seven races on British Festival of Racing Day at Royal Ascot in 1996, a feat regarded as one of the most iconic moments in racing.
A three-time British Flat Racing Champion (1994, 1995, 2004), Dettori remains active on the international circuit. He recorded six victories in his first two weeks racing in the United States and claimed his first U.S. Grade 1 win in 2024 at the Santa Anita Handicap.
“I am really excited to be working with Stake and to be part of such a refreshing and dynamic team,” Dettori said in a statement. “They are a hugely recognisable name within sport and work with some of the biggest athletes and teams, so I am looking forward to coming onboard and seeing what is next!”
Known for his charismatic persona and trademark flying dismounts, Dettori has long been a fan favourite and a sporting celebrity whose appeal stretches well beyond the racetrack.
“Frankie is one of the biggest names in horse racing history, but more importantly than that, he is also a name that transcends sport,” said Akhil Sarin, Chief Marketing Officer at Stake. “His career achievements and personality are unmatched in the racing world and we are thrilled to welcome him on to the Stake roster.”
Dettori joins a growing list of Stake ambassadors across football, MMA, and motorsport, as the company continues to strengthen its global branding through high-profile sports partnerships.
