Global sports betting giant Flutter announced that it has been included in TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential Companies of 2024 list in the Pioneers section. To assemble the list, TIME solicited nominations across sectors, and polled its global network of contributors and correspondents, as well as outside experts.

Then TIME editors evaluated each company on key factors, including impact, innovation, ambition, and success. The result is a diverse group of 100 businesses "helping chart an essential path forward," said Flutter.

Time’s description of Flutter on its website reads
A surging U.S. market is bolstering what was already the world’s largest betting company. It’s the parent company of online-gaming powerhouse FanDuel, which, amid a sports-betting boom, has made and expanded deals with leagues including the NBA, NHL, NFL, and MLB, as well as teams.”
Flutter plans to switch its primary stock listing from London to New York to capitalize on the U.S. market, which opened up after the Supreme Court struck down a federal law in 2018 that barred sports betting in several states. But Flutter’s growth comes at a time when betting scandals and US gambling addiction are in the spotlight. FanDuel and other companies formed the Responsible Online Gaming Association in March, in an attempt to self-govern.”

Flutter says that this feat is a “testament to the collective power of the global Flutter Family", and its market-leading portfolio of brands that have contributed to a very successful past 12 months.

Flutter boasts 12.32 million active monthly players (AMPs) and generated £9.51 billion ($12.76 billion) of revenue globally for fiscal 2023, up 25% YoY. Flutter underscored that, following the completion of the transition of its primary listing to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in May, the company is looking forward to the next phase of its continued growth in the US and worldwide.

We will continue to disrupt our sector, creating a better future for our customers, colleagues, and communities,” Flutter said in a statement. “We aim to achieve true impact through our global sustainability strategy – the Positive Impact Plan – which outlines our goals to help customers Play Well, empower our colleagues to Work Better, work with our communities to Do More, and reduce our environmental impact with our Go Zero plan.”

Peter Jackson, CEO at Flutter, said: “I am enormously proud of everyone across our global business for working so tirelessly to make Flutter the fantastic company it is today. Receiving this recognition from TIME offers a well-deserved moment to reflect on our recent successes as we fix our sights firmly on our next phase of growth. We are very excited for the future.”
