Caesars Entertainment, in partnership with Laguna Development Corporation (LDC), has announced the launch of several retail sportsbook locations at LDC gaming properties in New Mexico. Sports bettors can now place wagers in person at Caesars Sportsbook locations within Route 66 Casino Hotel, Casino Xpress, and Dancing Eagle Casino.

"We are excited to partner with one of the world’s leading gaming companies to provide New Mexico sports fans a world-class wagering experience that connects our guests with sporting events around the country and the world," said Maxine Velasquez, President and CEO of LDC. "The introduction of Caesars Sportsbook to the Albuquerque metro market represents our long-held strategy to bring our guests the finest products and services available in the industry."

New Mexico, one of five states exclusively offering retail sports betting, has yet to approve online sports betting through the state legislature.

Route 66 Casino Hotel, which introduced sports betting at its property back in 2019, has now expanded its offerings through this partnership. According to property officials, the book has become a go-to destination for sports bettors, with events featured on dozens of TV screens throughout the venue.

"As we continue to make improvements and upgrades throughout our casino and restaurants this year, we are also providing our guests with new special amenities, including access to one of the country’s leading sports betting brands," said Adrian Fox, General Manager of Route 66 Casino Hotel. "Wagering options on the Caesars Sportsbook platform are nearly unlimited in scope, encompassing sports from around the world."

Dancing Eagle Casino, a newcomer to the sports betting scene, joins this initiative, broadening the entertainment options for its patrons. The casino currently features 400 slots and bingo.

Laguna Development Corporation was created in 1998 by the Pueblo of Laguna in New Mexico. LDC began in the retail market, expanding to gaming, food and beverage, then entertainment and hospitality. LDC manages and operates over half a dozen casino and resort locations in New Mexico.

“LDC shares our passion for treating guests like royalty,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital. “We believe that bringing our first-class Caesars Sportsbook locations and sports betting kiosks to their historic properties will provide an elevated and rewarding sports wagering experience built for the modern sports fan 21 and older in New Mexico.”
