Las Vegas' The Venetian Resort has unveiled plans for a significant $188 million renovation of its Convention Center, with the redesign project being executed by the renowned design firm Woogmaster Studio.

The reimagined Convention Center is set to feature a range of key design elements, including a fresh color palette, the incorporation of luxurious lounge spaces intended for meetings, and the integration of technological enhancements, 8 News Now reports.

“The finishes and amenities planned were thoughtfully curated based on feedback from our customers and will usher in a new era of Venetian Meetings and maintain our position at the forefront of the industry,” Patrick Nichols, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, said.

The Convention Center will also introduce elevated lounge-style spaces catering to executives. The addition of a speakeasy-style lounge will offer the opportunity to host exclusive invitation-only events, characterized by opulent materials such as rich woods, marble, velvet, and mirrors, embodying a contemporary interpretation of the 1930s Venetian design aesthetic.

“Embarking on a refresh of a convention center that hosts back-to-back events year in and year out is no easy task, but our promise is to provide our guests a best-in-class experience,” added Nichols. As per the report, the comprehensive renovation project is scheduled to be completed in stages over the span of 2024 to 2026.

Last year, it was reported that The Venetian Resort owner Apollo Global Management was planning to spend more than $1 billion to update the property. The investment is anticipated to represent one of the most significant updates to a Strip venue in years.

The Venetian Resort and Yahoo also recently announced a multi-year naming rights partnership for the new sportsbook on the Strip property's main casino floor. Named ‘Yahoo Sportsbook powered by William Hill’, the facility spans more than 12,000 square feet and features a 46-million-pixel, 1,770 square-foot LED video wall that can display up to 40 independent sporting events at once.
