The Jockey Plaza Convention Center in Lima, Peru, once again became yesterday the venue for the PGS 2023, an event that once again received the support of international and regional companies, and the visit of several operators, both from the online and traditional gaming halls.

During the beginning of the event, the Vice Minister of Mincetur, Madeleine Burns Vidaurrazaga, who together with Eduardo Alfonso Sevilla Echevarría, General Director of Casino Games and Slot Machines, toured the fair with the organizers of the event, Ruben Solorzano and Joe Lopez.

On its 20th anniversary, the first day left the exhibiting companies very satisfied and managed to reaffirm the importance of the Peruvian market, something that could be seen with the large number of visitors who arrived at the event early in the morning cycle of conferences, which this year showed a room full of people on its first day.

"This start of the fair has been a total success, exceeding all expectations with a full exhibition hall," said Ruben Solorzano, General Director of PGS. "We had to expand the parking lot to organize the large number of cars that arrived yesterday to the show and to receive all the public that came to the event. Seeing the number of people who attended, the truth is that we are delighted and happy", the businessman concluded.

The presence of big international names in the provision of land-based casinos, such as Novomatic, Aristocrat, Merkur, Konami, CT Gaming or Interblock, to name just a few, graced the development of the event, while the online segment also had a prominent role, increasingly growing and predictable, taking into account the imminent process of regulation in this type of betting in Peru. Thus, international online companies such as BetConstruct, Sportadar, Pragmatic Play, Digitain, GIG, Amusnet, and Tvbet, among many others, were also present this year.

For today, the authorities of the event have planned a second day, also with a large audience, and in the morning they will hold six conference sessions in which they will analyze topics such as the current situation of the local market, the metaverse as a new trend, and the future of online gaming and sports betting in Latin America.
