Gaming & Technology Expo has confirmed the second edition of trade exhibition and business fair GAT Caribe. The event will take place on June 9-10, 2022, at The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club, in the city of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
According to a press release, participants of the first edition, which took place in the Dominican Republic in November, "expressed their desire and motivation to run the event again, given its productivity and importance in bringing together the local industry and offering visitors and operators, technological updates, academic knowledge, and business and regulatory perspectives in the region."
José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of 3A Producciones, the company organizing the event, stated that GAT Caribe 2022 is carried out thanks to the support of the Dominican Republic Casino Association and the National Association of Sports Banks, "who have made their contributions to the construction of the contents suggested by the organization" and are calling all their affiliates to be present in the event's programming.
"GAT Caribe offers all Dominican industry players a neutral space for annual meetings with the international sector, and we hope that this will continue to be the mission in the coming years," added Aguirre.
As informed in a press release, the "great novelty" is the holding of a work table in which the Chamber of Deputies and members of the business sectors will participate, who expect to debate in all its extensions the draft bill that reforms the current regulation of gambling in the country.
Congressman Luis Henriquez of the Province of Santo Domingo seeks to put the bill again under consideration. At GAT Caribe a detailed presentation of the initiative and a debate will take place, in order to reach agreements that can then be passed on to the National Congress.
Furthermore, executives representing several companies in the Caribbean such as IGT, Aristocrat, Pronet Gaming, Altenar, EGT Interactive, and BMM have confirmed their attendance at the trade and networking events that will take place from Wednesday, June 8.
"We invite all entrepreneurs and gaming operators from neighboring countries to the Dominican Republic and Central America to GAT Caribe Punta Cana to experience unique business experiences tailored to their expectations. Our commercial offer allows us to optimize investment, due to its multiple options and the attractiveness of the location for on-site advertising," said Alexandra Hernandez, Marketing Director of 3A Producciones.
The institutional and corporate conferences and panels will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, and Friday, June 10. The firm V&I Legal Consultants, experts in the regulation of the industry in Latin America, will be the general coordinator of the academic agenda, together with Colombia’s trade association Fecoljuegos.
Additionally, Colombia's National Corporation of Gaming Entrepreneurs Cornazar will focus on presenting developments in the regulation of new generation games, such as eSports betting and the eSports betting bar business model for physical casinos and sports banks.
The program includes exhibition stands for land-based equipment and online games in the Yauya Grand Hall of the Westin Hotel. BetConstruct will join GAT Caribe as Sponsor and exhibitor. Juancito Sport, a Dominican sports betting company with enormous recognition, will also be a 2022 Sponsor.
Betcris, a sports betting house is also part of the sponsors' line-up, together with testing and certification services company GLI, which will also participate as a speaker at the event.
IGC Gaming Systems and Solutions will exhibit its latest slot machines and roulettes. The lottery company Loteka will be a second-time exhibitor at the event.
The company Cockpit will show the advances and innovations in its cockfighting software. The European company Mobadoo will present innovations in electronic sports betting; and Zataca, a company with Spanish technological development, established in Quisqueya for more than a decade, will also exhibit its products and recharge services.
