Interview with Anna Shahbazyan, Regional Director LATAM at BetConstruct

Ahead of BetConstruct's showcase at G2E Las Vegas, which will take place October 4-7, Anna Shabazyan spoke with Yogonet about the company's expansion through the region and the brand's projects for the remainder of 2021 and further.

What products is BetConstruct planning to showcase at G2E Las Vegas? Will the company participate in educative and networking activities within the expo?

BetConstruct is a global leader in online casino and sportsbook gaming as such we will feature our core innovative products in addition to which we will showcase our social sportsbook, which allows operators the ability to harvest data as well as educate players regarding online sports betting in emerging markets.

What does this post-pandemic return to Las Vegas mean to the company? What are the expectations behind the G2E, it being the first face-to-face encounter?  

We are excited to see old friends and make new friends at the upcoming G2E event. This has been a challenging year for everyone in the gaming space and the pandemic has shown a real need for brick and mortar operators to develop online revenue streams. BetConstruct is the perfect solution for such diversification. 

What is your balance on the "betting renaissance" that the company foresaw, now that the main international sporting events of the year are over? What did it represent, not only for the industry but for the company? Do you see any new opportunities in terms of sportsbooks, at a global scale and in LatAm in particular?  

This year has been awesome for BetConstruct as we have not only explored the great opportunities in the Latin American market but also in the global market and these opportunities have allowed us to show our exceptional variety of games as we had mentioned many times, especially in our flagship product such as the sportsbook is. We currently have future projects that are also very important, and in general, our experience and background has allowed us to consolidate each year, further strengthening all our know-how, always focused on innovating and updating our gaming platform, operating tools such as our SpringBME, which has allowed our clients and partners to be aware from the beginning of the sale of the project and throughout the creation of their platform until the end of the process, the fact that they are more independent when carrying out their operations, each time improving our platform and offering the best for them, increasing the volume of partners and sales.

We can also say that we have developed solutions for transactions using blockchain technology, among other emerging technologies to contribute to the development of our operating partners that allows them to always be at the forefront to continue growing with us together.

What was the outcome of the company's strategy for the Copa América? What are the next steps in the region? In which markets and segments is the company going to focus? 

The results of the company's strategy for the America Cup exceeded our expectations, we have the best specialists within our team in both marketing, trading and risk management, offering a dedicated service for our partners in each type of market. It is important to emphasize that for our region, especially in South America, being the market leader and having extensive experience in Latin America with representative regional offices such as Peru and Uruguay, we offer very specific solutions and products for each market in the region, such as It is the retail sector, also, without neglecting our flagship products such as the Sportsbook that has more than 140,000 prematch events and more than 70,000 live events per month, with the most attractive functionalities and competitive coefficients in the market, as well as the widest and liveliest offer of our Live Casino and Casino Suite with more than 10,000 online games, as they are always in great demand among operators in the region.

There are many novelties and great plans for BetConstruct and one of them is to continue expanding in the market for the future and not only continue to offer our great current and innovative products, but we plan to continue creating partnerships and alliances with new operators and suppliers and already present in the market, always with the same disposition and happy to have new collaborations and strategic alliances that encourage us to continue growing much more.

Is there any project or event on BetConstruct's horizon in the short term?

BetConstruct will continue to focus on innovation and customer service and we are especially excited about continuing our North American expansion.
