Las Vegas-based gaming equipment supplier AGS and the Vegas Golden Knights National Hockey League franchise announced on Monday the winners of their #GoldenGrad Twitter promotion to honor and recognize Las Vegas 2020 high school graduates.

AGS, a corporate sponsor of the Vegas Golden Knights, partnered with the hockey league to recognize Las Vegas Valley high school graduates who missed out on significant senior year milestones due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Late last month, AGS and the VGK launched a social media promotion and encouraged graduating students to respond on the Vegas Golden Knights Twitter feed for a chance to win a prize package. Winners were randomly selected from all eligible graduates who responded during the promotion period. GoldenGrad winners are:

  • Dillon Brouwer – American Preparatory Academy Class of 2020
  • Mattigan Gorst – Spring Valley High School Class of 2020
  • Sidnee Keane – Desert Oasis High School Class of 2020

"We were pleased to partner with the Vegas Golden Knights and recognize the graduating seniors in our community who missed out on their prom, their last season of high school sports, and a traditional graduation ceremony," said AGS Chief Marketing Officer Julia Boguslawski. "It’s exciting for us to celebrate and recognize their achievements, and we congratulate our three winners Dillon, Mattigan, and Sidnee."

"Teaming up with AGS to recognize graduating high school seniors in southern Nevada reflects our commitment to community and allows us to honor a group that missed out some major milestones during this pandemic year," said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. "We wish these three graduates well as they move onto their next journey, and we thank them for being such great VGK fans."

The three lucky Las Vegas grads each received prize packages that included a MacBook Pro laptop, set of Apple AirPods Pro in-ear headphones, AGS and VGK gift baskets, and a meet-and-greet with Chance, the VGK team mascot.
