The national manager of Caixa Lotteries, Rodrigo Hideki Hori, explained that the registered income exceeded expectations, which implied reaching 3% of total revenue in the first 12 months.

Since its launch on August 10 and until September 9, the Caixa Lottery raised 18.06 million reais (USD 4.5 million), there were 341 thousand registered ????? and almost 3.5 million new accesses. In revenue, the measured income represented 1.41% of all Lotteries revenue, while a total 3% representation is expected for a whole year.

The national manager of Caixa Lotteries, Rodrigo Hideki Hori, explained that the registered income exceeded expectations, which implied reaching 3% of total revenue in the first 12 months. During the first month, the total average purchase was established at 600 thousand reais per day and the average ticket at 50 reais, which represents 1.41% of all the collection of lotteries in the period, according to the executive.

Regarding the profile of the consumer public, men are still the largest segment, even via the online channel. However, it was expected that in the portal the percentage of the female audience would increase, which was already achieved in the first month. "While in the physical channel they represent 15.5% of the entire lottery purchase, in the online they were almost 26% of the purchases made by women", explained Hideki Hori.

The manager explained that the profile reached was what the company was looking for when it developed the portal: "The youngest public, between 18 and 44 years old, represented more than 50% of all the bets made online." Percentages in the age group of 25 to 34 years and 35 to 44 were the largest, each with 28% In the lottery agencies, that same audience represents a percentage of 12.6% and 19.9% respectively, according to a survey used by Caixa.

The highest-grossing games in the online channel were the Mega-Sena, with R $ 6.6 million in revenue, and the Lotofácil de la Independencia, whose draw took place on September 8 and raised R $ 4.9 million. "We perceive that bettors who choose certain products and did not go to a lottery stand are betting online," explains Hori. This is the case of Loteca, which in lottery stands accounts for less than 1% in collection, while in the online it reached more than 3%, with a collection of R $ 511 thousand in the first month.

Addtionally, lottery agencies also benefited, receiving 3.11% of the total collection. "In this first month, almost R $ 600 000 were distributed. "These figures account for more people playing, which increases the collection and the offers of bigger prizes, and consequently, attracts more gamblers to house lotteries", Hori concluded.
