Evert Montero Cárdenas, president of Fecoljuegos, assured this in an interview with Yogonet last March. In December 2017, organizers announced his appointment as non-executive chairman of this trade show, whose third edition begins today in its now traditional venue: Miami's Baltimore hotel. For the first time, the event will take place together with GiGse.

Colombia, the first Latin American country to regulate online gambling throughout its territory, has been chosen as "jurisdiction of the year" for the 2018 edition of Juegos Miami. For that reason, Evert Montero Cárdenas, president of the Colombian trade body (Fecoljuegos) and non-executive president of this event, will be in charge of the opening speech.

"Our main goal is that Juegos Miami becomes a space for reflection and analysis on Latin America's current gambling industry. Although this is a very significant event on an international level, we want it to become even stronger and we'd like Colombia to have a leading role in this goal," said the Colombian chairman in an interview with Yogonet last March, following his participation in ICE.

This year, attendees have the opportunity to acquire a broader view on the present gambling market in the Americas: Juego Miami and GiGse will take place together, at the same venue, for the first time. "We have received a very positive response to the decision to co-locate GiGse and Juegos Miami, maintaining the individual identities of each brand. As organizers of global trade shows, we are in an ideal position to take a more strategic view of the industry and respond to market needs," said Kate Chambers, executive director of Clarion Gaming, the company behind both proposals.

Juegos Miami can only be accessed through invitation: it is reserved for those responsible for operators, as well as government and regulatory agencies in Latin American and the Caribbean. It includes a training program in charge of exhibitors and sponsors. Totally Gaming Academy (TGA) training sessions cover the fundamental points of digital management and the key areas of the sports betting operation. In addition, there are sessions focused on Latin America and speeches that explore the world of affiliate management.

As in previous editions, visitors have the opportunity to connect with the key regulators of the region -Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay- thanks to a series of roundtables divided by country.

Besides, Juegos Miami will be launching a new format for leading brands to present their products: “The Pitch” will consist of three 15-minute parts in each conference room and the attendance of brands like BetConstruct, BetGenius, Dynamic Messaging, Quixant, SBTech, and Skilrock.

According to the organizers, the number of registrations increased by 57%. 87% are made up of top executives and business owners. The brands attending will be Abbiati Casino Equipment, Ainsworth Game Technology, Alderney eGambling, Aristocrat Technologies, Atrient, BetConstruct, Betgenius, Betradar, Betstone, BMM International, CasinoTrac, Casino Technology, Cashbet, Chetu, Continent 8 Technologies, DRGT, Dynamic Messaging , ELAUT nv, E-Moore, Euro Games Technology (EGT), Everi, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), Interblock Gaming, JCM, Leaderbet, Merkur Gaming, Novomatic, NRT Technology Corp, Online IPS, Play'n GO, Pragmatic Play , Quixant, Scientific Games, SBTech, Sporting Solutions and Win Systems.
