NV9 and NV200 Spectral validators, and the SMART product line were in the spotlight on ITL booth at ICE. What markets are perfect for these products? Why?

The NV9 Spectral had it first showing at ICE and is our latest innovation which is predominately aimed at the gaming market. It is the most technically advanced banknote validator in its class with casino level security features. Customers visiting the ITL stand at ICE were keen to hear about its optical and mechanical anti-strimming technology which will give operators outstanding fraud protection, alongside extra security features including stained note detection. The NV200 Spectral is an ideal product for the high-end gaming market. It is a highly secure and technologically advanced banknote validator. State of the art spectral sensors offer complete note image capture (highest spectral coverage) to authenticate the validity of notes. The unit boasts 99%+ first-time acceptance of new and street grade notes with a note to note processing time of 2 seconds.

Our SMART product range, offer coin and note recycling and TITO capabilities. The SMART Ticket offers a revolutionary note in / ticket out design eliminates the need for a separate printer so is suitable for multiple applications. The SMART Coin System is a state of the art bulk coin validator, mixed coin hopper and recycler in one. With a market leading coin hopper capacity and fully audited, efficient refills the SMART Coin System is designed to eliminate coin starvation and significantly reduce operator collection costs so again this would be ideal for most applications and both gaming and amusement markets worldwide.

ITL already have an established presence in Latin America and this region provides important business to us. We are very familiar with the region and we are currently working to expand our customer base and develop innovative new products that suit the market. Our products are suitable for all gaming markets around the world as they were designed to suit all applications for gaming machines.

What distributors are you working in the gaming industry?

We have trading partners and distributors across Latin America and have long established partner in Mexico, Chile, Brazil & Colombia.

Spain is also an important market for the company. Which of ITL products has had a good sales volume in this country last year?

Spain is a very important and established market for ITL. Our NV9 note validator and NV11 note recycler are utilized by the main Operators and can be seen across the country. Our TITO portfolio is attracting great interest in the region currently as customers can choose between a number of high-quality ticketing solutions from Innovative Technology, including the SMART Ticket, which is ideal for high volume applications; and the NV12+, a more compact option for operators with limited space considerations. Live Ticket+ from Innovative Technology is the complete solution for any Gaming and Amusement operators intending to implement a TITO system within their business - Ticketing Made Easy. Rather than overspend on brand new TITO-ready machines, Live Ticket+ allows customers to convert any compliant digital or analogue machines to become TITO-capable. The system not only gives customers a GBG compliant TITO offering but it also includes many data and reporting benefits as standard. A simple and easy to use interface allows operators to access, in real-time, a full machine audit system including cash and TITO transactions. It allows remote software and dataset updates to cash handling peripherals and the ability to create detailed status reports to assist effective machine collection and fault reporting, all fully configurable.

You have anticipated that this year ITL is going to launch new products and also the company is planning to incorporate several improvements to its core products. Could you please provide further details on this?

We showcased the NV9 Spectral at the show and this will be fully released in the Summer. This our latest innovation utilizes our spectral technology, originally developed for the high-end gaming industry and provide a similar technically advanced product for the amusement market.

We have a number of other product launches planned for the forthcoming year. Some will be next generation improvements to our much-loved core products as well as brand new innovations that will cement our position as one of the market-leading providers of cash handling equipment and reiterate our forward-thinking, innovative approach to product development. A few months ago, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary. What challenges will the company face this year? What goals and objectives have you set?

In 2017 we celebrated 25 years in the cash handling industry. As a company, we are still experiencing a significant, sustained period of growth, which has allowed us to increase our staff and office locations and expand our product range; cementing our position as a market leader in our field. 

Our business is part of a rapidly changing industry and the challenge is to stay at the forefront and react quickly to the changes and demands of the market and its customers. Our goals and the key to success in this fast-changing gaming industry is the ability to develop innovative products, act on and implementing customer feedback, investing in technology and training our staff.
