What were the high and low points of this year’s G2E?
It almost goes without saying that the hardest part of G2E was the shooting that happened on Sunday night. That was difficult for everyone, and, at the same time, we were grateful that our industry was all together for G2E. We were able to lean on each other and begin to heal in a way that might not have been possible if we were not all gathered for G2E. That said, the best part was seeing friends and customers from all over the world, reconnecting, strengthening the relationship ties that bind our industry together.
How was the show for JCM Global?
We met with attendees from all over the world, primarily from North America, and they were interested in the wide range of products we were showing, perhaps most notably being our new FUZION technology, and the iVIZION bill validator and GEN5 printer that power FUZION. As for Latin America, we had a great participation from our various distributors in the different markets, who are focused on offering all our currency validation technology and customers who were interested on this applied technology for business segments other than gaming, such as Banking, Financing, Retail, and other commercial applications.
What was the reaction to your eSports tournament? How has your collaboration with Spawn Point progressed?
Visitors were very interested in the esports tournament we hosted in our booth. It was common for us to have dozens and dozens of attendees crowded into and around the tournament area, getting an up-close, in-person view of esports, and gaining a better understanding of what esports is, how it looks, and how it works. SpawnPoint was a great partner, and they produced the tournament – everything from drafting the players to securing the eventcast on Twitch. The reason for our hosting the tournament was to give attendees a better understanding of esports, including understanding that esports is an entirely visual experience, and to properly showcase it, properties need the best digital displays available, and attendees were incredibly impressed with our line of PixelPro digital displays that we broadcasted the tournament on.
What innovations can we expect to see from JCM Global?
The first priority for JCM and for our customers is to maintain the highest levels of security, and we will continue to work diligently to stay at least one step ahead of criminals and the ways they attempt to exploit technology. To that end, we will keep the innovations involved private to ensure we keep criminals in the dark.
What products are you bringing to SAGSE in Buenos Aires?
At SAGSE booth 200 we will be showing iVIZION, our DBV-500 series bill validator, the ICB 3.0 Intelligent Cash Box system, GEN5 printer, and the BlueWaveDV firmware upload tool. We’ll also be showing another product that attendees at G2E were very excited about, which is our PromoNet 2.0 floor-wide couponing solution. What’s exciting about PromoNet 2.0 is it delivers the right promotion to the right customer at the right time. Among its many features and capabilities, PromoNet 2.0 can boost revenue, enhance the players experience, and direct promotions to active players. In other words, operators can use PromoNet 2.0 to better control how and when comps are delivered, plus it can be used to deliver promotional offers to known and unknown players.
