The online sports betting company launched its business in East African at a ceremony in the country’s largest city, Dar-es-Salaam.

The firm's Tanzanian Director of Administration and compliance, Abbas Tarimba, said the Kenyan company was happy to start its operations in Tanzania, the largest country in East Africa and apart from doing business, they are aiming at developing sports in general by nurturing sports talents in the country.

Dr Harrison Mwakyembe, Tanzania Minister for Information, Culture and Sport said: “Thank you for seeing enormous potential in Tanzania, not only to promote sport, but also to create employment and enthusiasm in sports.

“This is an important and unique chance to develop sports and we will not let this opportunity go.”

The company also used the launch to announce a TSh50m sponsorship deal for Tanzania's Serengeti Boys football team.
