What can you tell us about Alfastreet's overall performance in 2015?
Honestly, it has been quite satisfying, probably one of the best, so far. Our new products have been accepted by the players and the operators, generating very good results on the casino floors. We had to expand our production capabilities and basically all the departments inside the company, to meet the increasing demand.
Why is attracting and engaging younger audiences more of a challenge for the gambling industry?
This is a common occurrence with all the industries that have existed for a long time; the new generations tend to choose different products than their elder, which is perfectly normal. It requires a partial paradigm shift, to move from the customary, without making the existing clients feel neglected or sidelined. Finding a balance between these requirements is the true challenge.
Apart from the Royal Derby, what other products are you debuting at the upcoming ICE show?
ICE show is a special occasion and we always prepare something very interesting just for the show. There will be further evolution of our product lineup, the definite version of the slot machines and something very different, that will surprise some people and evoke nostalgic feelings in others. We are really looking forward to the 2016.
Are you considering the possibility of expanding into the booming iGaming market?
Our company is considered to be the leader in production of gaming equipment and will continue on the same path. I-gaming is not on our priority list at the moment.
What are Alfastreet's plans for 2016?
We are planning to top the 2015 in every aspect, enforcing our presence on the world market, especially in some of the emerging countries as far as gaming is concerned. We are expecting a lot from our new products in the upcoming year, which will confirm Alfastreet's position as a leading gaming equipment manufacturer.
