American Gaming Association (AGA) President and CEO Geoff Freeman released a statement after the NHL announced it is considering expansion, including potentially in Las Vegas. To see the statement, read the full article.

“Today’s announcement reflects a progressive view of casino gaming and marks a stark contrast with the NFL’s recent decision to force the cancellation of a fantasy sports event at a Las Vegas casino. We applaud the NHL for considering Las Vegas – a city known for its diverse and sophisticated entertainment offerings – and recognizing that gaming is a heavily regulated, Fortune 500 industry approved by 90 percent of Americans.

“The NHL and other professional teams already operate in tandem with casinos in many leading cities across the country. Las Vegas is among the top travel and tourism destinations in the world and is therefore deserving of the same consideration.”
