A component of Scientific Games’ Properties Plus program, Points for Prizes allows players to enter lottery tickets into an exclusive Players Club member section of the Lottery’s website to earn rewards points. Points accrue with each ticket entered, and can be redeemed by the player in the Points for Prizes online store for loyalty rewards ranging from movies, music and eBook downloads to electronics, jewelry and sporting equipment.
Using the new MDI-built app, players have the ability to scan a barcode on eligible tickets to have their points instantly added to their accounts, and to enter Play It Again! and 2nd Chance drawings. No manual ticket entry is needed.
In addition to the scanning tool, the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation’s app delivers other valuable features from its VIP Players Suite website including e-alerts setup and modification to receive draw results, jackpots, “Your Number’s Up” and other game notifications. Information on eligible instant games, as well as member ticket entry history and point balances also are available via the app. Non-members can even register for a VIP Players Suite account directly from their mobile devices.
“We’re extremely pleased to offer our players this multi-functional new app,” said Rebecca Hargrove, President & CEO of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation. “This gives us yet another way to connect with our players, reward our VIP Players Suite members and, ultimately, maximize proceeds for the students and families of our great state.”
Amy Bergette Hill, Senior Vice President for Interactive at Scientific Games, said, “The creation of the ticket scanning function is a significant step forward, and we commend the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation for being the first to offer it to its players. This makes the ticket entry process much quicker and more convenient for players, and eliminates any possibility of incorrectly keying in a number. The scanning tool is a noteworthy feature of Tennessee’s new app, and now can be offered with other mobile apps we build for our customers.”
