Wincor Nixdorf and Scientific Games signed deal to provide lottery IT solutions
The goal of this cooperation is to combine the strengths of Scientific Games as a leading global provider of lottery and gaming products, systems and services with Wincor Nixdorf’s technology expertise for programmable point-of-sale (POS) terminals for the retail industry. The agreement contemplates that the terminals that are subject to the cooperation agreement will be manufactured at Wincor Nixdorf’s Singapore production facility.
As part of the cooperation agreement, Wincor Nixdorf will provide Scientific Games with the provision of lottery terminals, terminal sales representatives and, potentially, terminal-related services such as installation and field maintenance in Germany and Switzerland.
Concurrent with the execution of the cooperation agreement, Wincor sold its lottery software business to Scientific Games, including 19 employees located in Wincor Nixdorf’s Constance, Germany facility.
