Chile: Casinos see revenue increase in 2010

(Chile).- Chilean casinos saw revenue increases of 44 % during 2010. The information was released by the casino regulator yesterday, a Boomberg report said, and added that revenue increased from us$ 220 million to us$ 317 million in 2010.

Chilean casinos posted a 44 % increase in revenues in 2010 to us$ 317 million from us$ 220 million, according to a statement posted on the website of the Chilean casino regulator. The number of average visitors per day to the country’s casinos rose 10.6 % to 960 from 868, the regulator said.

Listed casino operator Enjoy SA manages the second-largest casino in the country by revenue, Enjoy Antofagasta, which posted annual operating revenue of us$ 41.1 million, according to the regulator’s statement.
