The Secretary of State for Finance and Chairman of the Casinos Committee, Vicente Bengoa Albizu, did not hesitate to provide the necessary support last May in order to ensure the success of an event ever conducted in his country. They highlighted the importance of this execution to launch the global calendar of gaming fairs to his country and achieve the maximum interest of manufacturers and investors to visit their operations and bring innovation and technology.
Furthermore, in a recent visit to the Casinos Direction in Dominican Republic, Conrado Abud, Director of Casinos and Gaming, spoke with the Organizers welcoming the initiative and ensuring the necessary support for success of the second venture in the Caribbean region that Elizabeth Leiva and her organization as well will develop, as well offering the co-organization of the III Latin American Gaming Encounter which will be developed by CGS 2010.
In addition, Edmond Elias Yunes, President of the Dominican Association of Casinos and Gaming also met with Elizabeth Leiva, C&GS Group representative offering support for the event to be held on March 10 & 11, 2010 in the Dominican Fiesta Convention Center, Santo Domingo.
Today, Dominican Republic has 50 legal casinos, 36 are affiliated and belong to different groups of national and international investment, providing added value to the national tourist offer.
