Madrid regulation on gaming machines to be updated

The regional vice president stressed that the Madrid regional regulation is adapted to regulations of the rest of the Spanish regions and will allow renovation and modernization of the gaming machines.

There will be a unique regulation in which is unified the technical characteristics of the gaming machines and rules for their exploitation, that were hitherto regulated by two separate decrees, a Community (Regional) and State regulations, respectively. 

So the machine manufacturers do not have to design different machines depending on the Autonomous Communities, as at present. Madrid will recognize the approvals of machines have been made by other Spanish regional governments.

Madrid to simplify procedures. The new regulation eliminates the prior authorization to operate gaming machines. From now on, there will be necessary just to communicate activity opening  and then, the Administration shall check it.

It is also noted that all restrictions on foreign capital will be lifted. The maximum stake price is 1, 00 euro, and the minimum stake price is 0,20 euros.

Video slot machines will also be allowed. Special Arcades - AWP (Type B3), which allows interconnection with other machines and between arcades. They can be installed in casinos, gaming arcades and bingo halls. Maximum prize Interconnected B3 Machines is 18.000 euros. Machines type B1 can be installed in beverage and foods locals. The maximum prize is 240 euros.
