Argentina: The International Poker Tournament concluded in Mar del Plata

Head of the Lottery commented: "I am very happy with the development of this event, which was a real success and it served not only to position our casino and the City of Mar del Plata worldwide, but also to position poker in this province, because it is a sport that will keep on growing," and added: "We are evaluating the possibility to develop a tournament in the different casinos in the province, with the final event in Casino Central."

Besides, he pointed "the importance that this tournament had in the City of Mar del Plata, because every participant came with other people and that meant a commercial movement for the city with regards to hotels, restaurants and the different services related to tourism."

After around five hours of gaming, the prize of the conclusion of the second season of  Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) of PokerStars.net was won by German Dominik Nitsche, who is 18 years old, and said he was "happy with the prize, with the development of the event and for having visited this beautiful city."

The second award was for Mexican Jorge Laudazuri, who is 19 years old, student of medicine, who had classified for free via Internet and who played a live tournament for the first time. "I came to enjoy Mar del Plata, together with my mother, who accompanied me, and the truth is that I am very happy for having participated on this tournament and for the way it was organized, too," Laudaziuri added.

This way, Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) of PokerStars.net, performed in Casino Central of Mar del Plata, which started in Costa Rica last November and then in Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and that, for the first time, finished in Argentina with more than 300 players.
