he Colombian National Government has authorized the holding of business fairs and GAT (Gaming & Technology) Expo, formerly FADJA, is preparing to return as an in-person event with a biosecure format in differentiated locations for online and land-based gaming, both at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center.
The manufacturers and suppliers of land-based equipment will have a space to socialize with operators and buyers, keeping the due protocols of distance and authorized capacity on August 18, in the Claustro de las Ánimas hall. The suppliers of software, products and services for online games will enjoy two productive days on August 18 and 19 at the San Francisco Esplanade, outdoors in a large terrace facing the sea and the walls of Cartagena, on the Atlantic coast of Colombia.
"This face-to-face reunion of the Latin American gaming industry will keep the existing value chain between operators, suppliers, regulators, associations, media and business meeting organizers solid, generating again trust and renewal of commercial ties," said José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of event organizer 3A Producciones. "Although this time has forced us to adapt the way we relate to each other, it has also pushed us to meet the specific needs of our clients to help them and row together to a safe harbor, in the midst of uncertainty."
"Before the pandemic, we were invited by the trade bodies to take the traditional Colombian fair to more technological levels, and following their recommendations, we created the brand GAT, GAMING & TECHNOLOGY, and that is precisely what we will present in the month of August. It is the time for the commercials of each sector and the fair organizer to share with transparency and honesty their needs and vision of the business in order to create joint strategies, since some have been affected and others have been benefited by the rise of digital. This is a key factor to return to economic activity and press the sales button," Aguirre added.
During 2020, the organizers of the Colombian fair held meetings with exhibitors and have reached common conclusions to get the strategy right to reactivate the land-based and online sectors. Many exhibitors will attend Cartagena in 2021 and others have chosen to move their investment to GAT Expo 2022 in March, at the same venue.
Win Systems, a leading provider of software for casinos, electronic roulette and slot machines; Colintek, a technology company specializing in online interconnection; and CONTINENT 8, a provider of secure and reliable networks for online operations, are some of the brands confirmed to date for the land-based GAT Showroom 2021 Cartagena de Indias event.
The sponsors for the online industry GAT EXPO 2021 on August 18 and 19 are: Mobadoo, software for esports betting; Golden Race, software for virtual betting; and Altenar, software for sports betting platforms and online casinos. The confirmed exhibitors are: Universal Soft, Golden Race, Digitain, Sportradar, Worldmatch, America Simulcast.
The organization said it is in talks with important casino equipment companies that will present unpublished designs and revolutionary technological advances in slots and roulettes, as well as online gaming platforms from Europe and Eurasia.
Furthermore, 3A Producciones is inviting Coljuegos, regulatory authority in Colombia, as well as Fecoljuegos, Asojuegos, Cornazar and Camazar, trade bodies and representatives of the authorized operators in the country.
In addition, eSports will be present for the first time at this fair and the academic section will be carried out virtually with corporate conferences from a special platform. Key moments from the San Francisco Esplanade and the Claustro de Las Ánimas of the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center will be transmitted via streaming.
