"Peru is a model gaming jurisdiction for Latin America"

JMC Latin America Sales Manager Eduardo Rozen talked with Yogonet,com about the company's performance at the Peru Gaming show that took place in the city of Lima back in June, analyzing as well the Peruvian game industry. "JCM has been fortunate in our relationships with operators throughout the country, and they have been receptive to new products,” he said.

Eduardo Rozen, the Latin America Sales Manager of JMC, granted an exclusive interview to Yogonet.com in which he discussed the outcomes of the recent Peru Gaming fair held in the Peruvian city of Lima on June 15-16.

JCM had a double stake in PGS, the exhibition and through training. How do you evaluate both events? How many technicians attended training and what were their main concerns?

The Peru Gaming Show was definitely a busy show for JCM. We had good discussions with customers from Peru as well as some from across Latin America, both existing customers and new prospects. Operators continue to be interested in iVIZION and the industry-leading protections it brings to the casino floor. Off the show floor, we welcomed more than 150 slot techs to our training, where they received hands-on instruction for maintenance on our iVIZION and UBA bill validators and GEN2 Universal bill validators. The response from techs was extremely positive, and they came away from the training with advanced knowledge on how to keep JCM products operating at maximum efficiency. This is one of several trainings we have planned for Latin America, and our next will be at SAGSE ONE in Costa Rica.

How do you see the Peruvian game industry regarding the renewal of equipment and technological advancement? What level is compared to other major markets in the region?

Peru has always been an interesting market, where operators and regulators have embraced innovations to keep the jurisdiction competitive

JCM has been fortunate in our relationships with operators throughout the country, and they have been receptive to new products, including iVIZION and GEN2 Universal. JCM was born from innovation more than 60 years ago, and we are continually developing products that help our customers defend against counterfeiters and cheats, and that help them make connections with their customers. We have exciting things planned for the future.

JCM is present in Peru several years. What still room for growth in this market have? What are your sales projections for this year and how close they are to meet that goal?

Peru has always been a strong market for JCM, and in many ways is a model gaming jurisdiction for Latin America and the rest of the world. While we are not discussing specifics at this time, we expect Peru to continue to be a strong part of our Latin American strategy in the second half of the year.

What kind of innovations can we expect in the products and services you provide in the coming years? What is the trend come from?

From the beginning of our time in the gaming industry, JCM as a global company has always worked closely with key stakeholders across the industry spectrum. Part of that close relationship is continuously soliciting feedback from operators to discover any pain points that arise as the industry evolves. Those close working relationships have led to the development and evolution of products and technologies. We continue to have those conversations today, and we believe the slot machine can be utilised in new ways to unlock greater value for both the operator and the player. This new “what if…” has sparked a renewed spirit of cooperation between JCM, OEM, CMS provider, operators, and jurisdictional regulators. In that cooperative effort, JCM is exploring many new features that take full advantage of the existing CMS’ and EGM’s combined computing power to deliver more options to the player and greater value to the operator. In the coming months, we will reveal our latest innovations that will empower operators to make even better and more profitable customer connections.
