Aristocrat's Alvaro Nores gives his take on the 2016 Peru Gaming Show.

In the Peru Gaming Show, Aristocrat presented Gold Star (from Dan Marks’ studio Gimmie Games) and Lightning Link. How did operators respond? Why do you think these products can succeed in Peru?

Gold Star is a collection of E*Series games from Dan Marks’ studio, Gimmie Games, and players in Peru and across Latin America have responded very positively to E*Series games since they were introduced into the market. Now with Gold Star, we combine six popular E*Series titles all in one machine, giving players optimum choice, and giving our operator customers the ability to easily expand the variety of games on the floor without increasing floor space. Gold Star had an excellent response from operators, who continue to look to Aristocrat for innovative hardware and creative games. The response was equally positive to Lightning Link. This game has been successful for operators and popular among players in Australia, Europe and North America, and now our Peruvian customers are reacting very positively to having this game come to their market. With both Gold Star and Lightning Link, operators have expressed a high level of interest of quickly installing these games on their floors in Peru. In our discussions with our operator customers, it seems the math in our games and our entertaining features appeal to Peruvian players who traditionally like multi-games and jackpots, which made for a good introduction for Gold Star and for Lightning Link.

What other Aristocrat products are working well in Peru and throughout the Andean Region? Why do you think that is?

Our customers in Peru, and indeed throughout Latin America, tell us they look to Aristocrat to create leading cabinets and then to fill those cabinets with games that players love. That, combined with the fact that our game content appeals to a wide variety of players, may be one reason why Aristocrat products have been market leaders in Peru and in Latin America for many years. Games like Wonder 4, Sky Rider and Gold Pays have gained a strong following among players and have kept a high popularity over a long period of time. Throughout every Aristocrat office in the world, we have deliberately focused on our customers, getting their direct feedback, and developing content that players love. That seems to be the secret of our success.

Is there a market in the region that has pleasantly surprised you during the first half of the year? Which one and why?

Aristocrat is very fortunate to enjoy a strong position in Latin America as a preferred supplier of operators, creating the games players prefer. Colombia, while not a surprise, is developing into an interesting market for all manufacturers, and we are excited to continue to work with our customers there.

In PGS, Aristocrat officially presented Maria Laura Moledo as part of the team..

We are very pleased with the addition of Maria Laura to the Latin America sales team, and look forward to her many contributions to continue our expansion in the region. We consider her joining the company as further proof of our commitment to be the leading company in Latin America. I am confident Maria Laura will play an important role in the development and expansion of our sales opportunities and contribute quickly and directly to consolidate Aristocrat as the leader in the region.
