The new virtual reality version of SlotsMillion is the first online casino built using immersive multi-media technology, and can be experienced through the new Oculus virtual reality headset.
While the Oculus will not be commercially available until Q1 2016 at least, visitors to EiG in Berlin last week had the opportunity for a sneak peek at this new technology and experienced the wonders of virtual reality for themselves.
Developed in conjunction with Lucky VR, the virtual reality SlotsMillion casino simulates the physical presence of an imaginary casino in a skyscraper in the clouds. Players are able to explore the ambience of the casino floor, check out the views of the futuristic cityscape, and play a range of games from developers like NextGen Gaming and NetEnt, each of which has been rendered in stunning, cutting edge virtual reality.
There’s also a big screen that offers the most immersive slots experience ever developed, complete with 3D graphics bursting out of the screen during big wins. Players also have the opportunity to interact with other players in the multi-player mode.
Alexandre Tomic, SlotsMillion & Alea Gaming co-founder, said: “One of virtual reality’s biggest problems is to explain how mind-blowing it is to people who haven’t tried it. The only way to understand the tech is to try it and that’s why we’re asking everyone to come down to the SlotsMillion booth at the Berlin Affiliate Conference this week and have a go. This really is the very first virtual reality online casino experience, and it’s awesome.”
