Thomas Engstberger, Amatic’s Sales Manager

“ELA is the most important platform to reach Mexican operators”

(Mexico, Exclusive Yogonet.com).- Amatic’s Sales Manager Thomas Engstberger talked about the performance of the firm in ELA show and about the partnership with Amusgo. When consulted about the dispute between the two national gaming associations regarding ELA, he assured: “Naturally this affected the level of visitors; nevertheless, the vast majority of our major customers came to our stand at ELA”.

ow do you evaluate your participation at ELA?
ELA is the most important platform to reach Mexican gaming operators. The Mexican market is of utmost importance to Amatic Industries. Thus, we exhibited here again with our local partner Amusgo. We were very proud to have won the prestigious Golden Ace (‘As de Oro’) for our innovation in multi-game during the ELA.

How do you coordinate your work with Amusgo for this trade show?
Our partnership is flourishing. The fact that we won the ‘As de Oro’ shows how well Amatic Industries is already established in the Mexican gaming market. Amongst strong competition Amatic Industries won this prestigious award for innovations in Multi Game. Multi Game is our true strength. We laid our foundations almost twenty years ago in Multi Game. Thus, we have amassed very much experience. Our X3000 cabinet is a proven favourite and our list of games is very extensive – we can offer the right game for practically every player.

What are your aspirations for the Mexican market for the coming months? What work has to face Amusgo as your distributor for this country?
Naturally together with Amusgo we will be focusing on further increasing our level of recognition in the market. This will go hand-in-hand with an increased market share. We are now recognised here in Mexico having exhibited at the ELA each year for the past years. We have a strong and well respected partner in Amusgo. The feedback from our machines in the field has been excellent and thus we expect further growth in Mexico.

How did you live the situation between the Asociación de Permisionarios Operadores y Proveedores de la Industria del Entretenimiento y Juego de Apuesta en México (AIEJA) and the Asociación de Permisionarios de Juegos y Sorteos de México (APJSAC)? How this was reflected in the quality of visitors?
Naturally this affected the level of visitors. Nevertheless, the vast majority of our major customers came to our stand at the ELA. The ELA remains of utmost importance and we are confident that this dispute was a one-off and things will be back to normal at the ELA 2013.

What are your projections for this market?
We foresee a further growing gaming market in Mexico and we anticipate that Amatic Industries multi-game solutions will become more popular. Winning the ‘As de Oro’ demonstrates how popular our multi-game solutions are. We offer such a wide variety in multi-games that we have the right gaming for practically everyone.

What other Latin American trade shows will you attend to?
We will be participating in more Latin American exhibitions, including SAGSE Panama and SAGSE Buenos Aires.  Our presence in Latin America continues to grow and we are proud to play an important role in many gaming markets here.
