(Peru, exclusive Yogonet.com).- July 1st, 2012 is the date established for Peruvian companies to start implementing the Unified Control System in Real Time. In order to avoid “wrong interpretations”—according to Manuel San Roman Benavente, General Director of Casino and Slot Games of MINCETUR- the current legislation requires certain modifications. That’s why last week the Council of Ministers approved a bill.

“Indeed, this is a bill presented by the Government to the Congress, so all the companies that operate slots in Peru comply with the SUCTR (online) standard”, explained San Roman.

“It is nothing new. It is simply what the law has always advocated since its beginnings in 2002, as well as the Supreme Decrees issued with the aim to regulate technical and legal aspects, as well as deadlines for the installation. It occurs that certain clarifications are required in order to avoid wrong interpretations”, the executive added.

The government initiative, which now has to be debated in the Congress in order to achieve its promulgation, modifies the First Final Regulation of the Law 27796, which also modifies articles of the Law 27153 that regulates the operation of casinos and slots.
