(Macau).- Casino monthly gross gaming revenue growth has slow downed. In September, Macau’s casinos take stood at us$ 2.66 billion, according to data from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

Casino gross gaming revenue in September was up 38.8 % year-on-year, the slowest growth rate registered so far since January, when the rate stood at 33.2 percent.

The slowdown comes at a time when fears are mounting that a potential soft-landing in the mainland could lead to a credit squeeze for VIP junkets. The total casino gross gaming revenue for the first nine months of 2011 was up 45.9 percent year-on-year to us$ 23.9 billion.

That is already more than the us$ 23.1 billion the industry posted in overall 2010.
