The UAE Lottery, operated by The Game L.L.C under Momentum Group, has held a financial awareness workshop in partnership with the SmartLife Foundation and GEMS Education’s Premier Schools Accommodation.
The initiative brought together more than 60 school bus drivers and helpers for an interactive session focused on practical financial skills, including budgeting, saving basics, fraud prevention, and retirement planning. The workshop also incorporated quizzes and certificate distribution to encourage participation and reinforce learning outcomes.
The program forms part of the “Opportunities” pillar of H.O.P.E., the UAE Lottery’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform, which focuses on Healthcare, Opportunities, Planet, and Enrichment. The platform is designed to deliver long-term social impact through targeted community initiatives across the UAE.
Speaking on the initiative, Suzan Kazzi, Associate Director for Corporate Social Responsibility at Momentum–The UAE Lottery, said financial literacy plays a key role in building confidence and long-term stability.
“Through H.O.P.E., we are committed to driving initiatives that equip individuals with practical life skills to help them build better opportunities for themselves and shape a more secure future,” Kazzi said. “This workshop reflects our belief in people-focused partnerships that create meaningful and lasting impact across communities.”
Abhijeet Oak, Vice President at SmartLife Foundation, highlighted the importance of accessible financial education for blue-collar workers, noting that many individuals in such roles have limited access to structured financial training despite their dedication to supporting families.
“Through partnerships like this, we can help individuals make informed financial decisions, build healthier financial habits, and plan more confidently for the future,” Oak said during the event.
