1xBet has been named Sports Betting Operator of the Year at the 19th International Gaming Awards, held on Jan. 18 in Barcelona.
The ceremony took place at the Intercontinental Hotel Barcelona and brought together senior executives and stakeholders from across the international gaming sector. Judges recognised 1xBet for leadership, innovation and its approach to responsible gambling.
The award reflects the company’s strategic evolution, continued investment in safer gambling frameworks and expansion across regulated markets. 1xBet currently operates in more than 35 licensed jurisdictions, with compliance structures tailored to local regulatory requirements.

Strategic adviser Simon Westbury accepted the award on behalf of the company.
“It is a privilege to commence 2026 and to accept this recognition on behalf of 1xBet,” Westbury said. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our global teams and our commitment to building a responsible, innovative and player-focused organisation.”
The judging panel highlighted several factors supporting the decision, including responsible gambling initiatives such as a new global programme combining research, education, technology and community support to strengthen player protection.
Judges also pointed to growth in regulated markets and ongoing investment in technology and behavioural tools aimed at improving transparency, player safety and long-term engagement.
The recognition underscores efforts to embed responsible gambling at the centre of growth strategies and to work collaboratively with regulators, partners and local communities across operating jurisdictions.
