The World Series of Poker room at Caesars Palace has returned to its longtime spot next to the casino’s sportsbook after a temporary move.
The room reopened on Tuesday, the strip property has confirmed. A Caesars Entertainment spokesperson told the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Wednesday that the team is “excited about the return of the World Series of Poker room to its original location at Caesars Palace.”
The space had been temporarily converted into a high-limit slot area last summer “while renovations on the casino floor were underway,” according to the company. During that period, a satellite poker room operated in the Appian Way retail corridor.
The reopened room now features 16 tables—two fewer than before the relocation—in response to player feedback about limited personal space between tables.
In addition to the new layout, player comps have been increased from $2 to $3 per hour of play, a Caesars poker official said.
In 2024, Caesars Entertainment sold the WSOP naming rights for $500 million. Under the 20-year agreement, the Reno-based gaming company will continue hosting live WSOP events at its Las Vegas properties.
Caesars Entertainment operates eight hotel-casinos and one non-gaming hotel along the Las Vegas Strip. Of its casino properties, Caesars Palace, Horseshoe, and Planet Hollywood currently feature poker rooms.
There are now 18 active poker rooms across Las Vegas casinos—a sharp decline from more than 30 before the 2020 pandemic-related shutdowns.
