Clarion Gaming is launching Academia América Latina at ICE Barcelona 2026 to promote dialogue among regulators, operators, and innovators, with sessions exploring how cooperation can address issues such as sports integrity, illegal markets, and compliance across Latin America’s growing gaming sector.
The free-to-attend seminar will be held on January 21 (11:00 to 15:00 hrs) at the Enterprise Stand and will be conducted in Spanish and Portuguese. The event is designed for attendees from Latin America and Brazil and will bring together local lawyers, government representatives, exhibitors, and association partners for a series of focused discussions.
The program has been organized in consultation with the National Police and various regulatory authorities from Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Panama, Ecuador, and other jurisdictions. Each session will run for up to 40 minutes and include opportunities for participants to engage directly with speakers.
The agenda covers regulatory and operational concerns across multiple Latin American markets. Topics include addressing unlicensed gambling, ensuring integrity in sports betting, managing the ongoing regulatory challenges in Brazil, and developing compliant gaming platforms suited to regional user preferences.
According to Liliana Costa, Head of LatAm Liaison at Clarion Gaming, the program is intended to give attendees a structured understanding of the regional market and its development potential.
“Industry professionals attending Academia América Latina will gain a strategic overview of the key opportunities and dynamics shaping Latin America's gaming markets,” Costa said. “We'll explore entry requirements, market expansion strategies, and share intelligence from leading operators and government stakeholders. Our aim is to encourage dialogue, strengthen regulatory frameworks, and provide opportunities for the LatAm market to engage with global peers.”
Costa said the initiative will serve as a meeting point for regional and international stakeholders. “By fostering economic cooperation, promoting innovation, and bringing together the right mix of stakeholders, including regulators, operators, and gaming innovators, we will be helping to bridge the gap between Latin America and the rest of the world using the platform provided by what is the industry's biggest and most influential gaming technology event,” she said.
“We are committed to building strong, strategic relationships that will help grow a sustainable LatAm industry,” Costa added.
