The UAE Lottery has confirmed that its inaugural AED 100 million ($27.23 million) grand prize has been officially won, marking a key milestone for the organization and the country’s growing regulated gaming sector. Verification procedures are currently underway before the winner is publicly announced.

In a statement released this week, the UAE Lottery said it is carrying out standard due diligence to complete all internal checks and regulatory requirements.

As part of our standard operating procedures, we are conducting due diligence to ensure that all internal checks, security protocols, and General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority compliance requirements are fulfilled before further details on our winner are shared and the prize is awarded,” the statement read.

Responsible gaming, player safety, and operational transparency remain at the heart of everything we do. Safeguarding the integrity of our draws and maintaining the trust of all players continue to be our highest priorities,” it added.

The UAE Lottery said it would disclose further information about the winner once all verification processes are finalized. The lottery is fully licensed and regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), which oversees the UAE’s emerging commercial gaming sector.

The lottery is managed by The Game LLC, which was appointed as the official operator in July 2024. It is the first lottery of its kind in both the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region.

Earlier this year, Yogonet held an exclusive Q&A with Bishop Woosley, Director of Lottery Operations at The Game LLC, in which he discussed the UAE Lottery’s early momentum, the significance of its World Lottery Association (WLA) membership, and more.
