Southwest Airlines will begin its first nonstop international flights from Las Vegas on June 4, offering service to three popular Mexican resort destinations.

The airline, the busiest commercial carrier at Harry Reid International Airport, will operate daily flights to Los Cabos, five times a week to Cancun, and twice weekly to Puerto Vallarta, according to a report by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The Los Cabos route will be the only daily international service.

Flights to Los Cabos will depart from Las Vegas at 8:05 a.m. or 9:55 a.m., arriving two hours and 40 minutes later, with return flights at 12:30 p.m., 1:15 p.m., or 2:20 p.m. One-way fares start at $295.

Meanwhile, flights to Cancun will operate Thursday through Monday, departing Las Vegas at 7:55 a.m. or 9 a.m., with a flight time of approximately four and a half hours. Return flights leave Cancun at 1:45 p.m. or 3:20 p.m., with fares starting at $270.

Puerto Vallarta flights depart Las Vegas at 7:55 a.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. on Sundays, with three-hour flight times, and return flights leave on Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 2:55 p.m. One-way fares for Puerto Vallarta start at $244.

The new international routes are part of a broader schedule expansion that also includes new flights to eight existing domestic destinations and seasonal daily service to Anchorage, Alaska, beginning May 14-15. Southwest’s first flight to Anchorage departs Las Vegas at 7:30 p.m., with a return leaving Anchorage at 12:55 a.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 7:05 a.m. One-way fares start at $387.

In addition, Southwest is increasing service on eight domestic routes from Las Vegas, including Nashville, Tennessee; Burbank, California; Indianapolis; Kansas City, Missouri; Orlando, Florida; New Orleans; Reno; and Tampa, Florida. The airline already offers nonstop service to 22 of the top 25 U.S. travel markets from Las Vegas.

Southwest began flying to Mexico in July 2014 after acquiring AirTran Airways, but had not launched flights from Las Vegas until now. All routes will be operated using Southwest’s twin-engine Boeing 737 jets.
