Gaming giant Aristocrat Leisure has announced new leadership appointments on Friday, naming Dylan Slaney as the next Chief Executive Officer of its Interactive division and Barry French as Chief Corporate Affairs and Marketing Officer.
Slaney, the former head of Light & Wonder’s iGaming business, will succeed Moti Malul, who will leave Aristocrat in March 2026 after completing his notice period and contractual obligations. Malul had led NeoGames through its acquisition by Aristocrat and the formation of Aristocrat Interactive over the past 18 months. Slaney is expected to start on November 3, 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
French, who previously served as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at satellite operator Inmarsat and earlier at Nokia, takes over from Natalie Toohey, effective immediately. She is leaving after nearly seven years to pursue other opportunities, but will support the transition in a consulting role.
Both Slaney and French will report to Group CEO and Managing Director Trevor Croker, and will sit on the company’s executive steering committee. Slaney will be based in London, while French will be located in Las Vegas.
“As we begin a new fiscal year, I am pleased to share two leadership appointments that consolidate the strong progress we’ve achieved and will help Aristocrat accelerate delivery of our strategy,” Croker said in a statement. “I am delighted to welcome leaders of the calibre of Dylan and Barry to the Aristocrat executive team. Both are values-led leaders with collaborative and customer-centric mindsets."
Croker expressed gratitude to both Malul and Toohey for their contributions to the company, noting the key roles they played in advancing the company's goals.
“Dylan’s deep iGaming experience and track record of operational delivery will help us accelerate momentum in Aristocrat Interactive, including building on our market-leading position in iLottery, in line with our strategy. I also look forward to Barry further building our reputation and stakeholder relationships, while forging a global Marketing function to better steward our brands and unlock more strategic benefits,” Croker added.
