International Game Technology (IGT) said on Monday its Wheel of Fortune-branded slot machines awarded three jackpots worth more than $1 million each in July, adding to a decades-long run of multimillion-dollar payouts.
A player in Las Vegas won $1,395,600 on July 13 playing Wheel of Fortune Diamond Spins 2X Wilds, while another secured $1,142,108 four days later on a Wheel of Fortune 4D Collector’s Edition machine at the Palms Casino Resort. On July 29, a player at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California, won a $1,555,981 jackpot on Wheel of Fortune Triple Double Diamond.
Since their launch in 1996, Wheel of Fortune slots have produced more than 1,200 millionaires and awarded over $3.6 billion in jackpots, IGT said.
The Wheel of Fortune slot is inspired by the popular Wheel of Fortune TV program, which reaches more than 25 million weekly viewers. Trademarked as America’s Game, it has earned seven Emmy Awards, including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show.
