As Las Vegas hotel-casinos adjust to decreasing visitation and gaming revenues, Downtown Grand has introduced its “Gambler’s Retreat” package, offering weekday stays for $99 and weekend rates at $125, without resort fees and with gaming and dining perks.
The promotion, available Sunday through Thursday at $99 per night and $125 on Fridays and Saturdays, includes $40 in slot play, a $25 dining credit, complimentary parking, early check-in, and room upgrades, if available. Resort fees are waived.
The offering is part of a series of incentive-driven deals from various Las Vegas properties. Las Vegas recorded its fifth straight month of declining visitation in May, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The city welcomed approximately 3.4 million visitors, a 6.5% drop year over year, with hotel occupancy falling to 83% and gaming revenue in downtown Las Vegas decreasing 11.4% to $66.4 million.
While several Strip casinos have dropped parking and resort fees, others located off the Strip have launched seasonal promotions aimed at drawing gamblers and guests.
Downtown Grand has previously introduced other similar packages in recent months. In June, it rolled out a two-night offer for $250, which included $100 in food and beverage credit, four drink tickets, early check-in, late check-out, and no resort fees.
