IGT announced Monday that its Wheel of Fortune and Powerbucks slots games awarded three million-dollar-plus jackpots in the month of May.
Lucky slots players won the following major jackpots last month:
- On May 3, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,033,590 playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Red Hot 7s Gold Spin at Gila River Resorts & Casinos - Santan Mountain in Chandler, Arizona.
- On May 17, an online Powerbucks slots player won CA$1,281,026 playing Wheel of Fortune Diamonds Deluxe Date Night in Ontario, Canada.
- On May 23, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,816,406 playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Red Hot 7s Gold Spin at Michael Gaughan Airport Slots at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Wheel of Fortune slots have minted over 1,200 millionaires and awarded over $3.6 billion in jackpots since their launch in 1996, the company noted. IGT Powerbucks slots have paid 67 jackpots of CA$1 million or more since their Canadian debut in 2016.
The Wheel of Fortune slot is inspired by the popular Wheel of Fortune TV program, which reaches more than 25 million weekly viewers. Trademarked as America’s Game, it has earned seven Emmy Awards, including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show.
