From May 13 to 15, the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) was the venue for the long-awaited first edition of SBC Summit Americas 2025. The event brought together the main players in the gaming industry from both Latin America and North America.
With the excitement of the event still at its peak, Yogonet was able to have a chat with Cristian Robalino, Vice President of Marketing for the Americas at SBC, to take stock of an event that aspires to become a milestone for the gaming industry.
What is your assessment of SBC Summit Americas 2025?
It was the first SBC Summit Americas and, fortunately, it was very well received by the industry. Many people appreciated that we were able to bring all of the Americas together for an event that helps a lot with networking and business. The strategic content was there, with a lot of quality people, especially with the event we had on Tuesday, the SBC Summit Leaders Americas, which brought together the most important stakeholders in the industry. Everyone was there, both representatives from Latin America and North America. It was something that people, in general, received very well.
I think for the future, it will be an event that people will not want to miss. We had a lot of high-level attendees. So the quality of participation was very good, very high. The quality of conferences was very good, and we are already receiving feedback.
Also, people from abroad, from Europe, for example, were very happy in the exhibition hall, being able to connect with both markets without having to travel so much. This is something we have heard a lot throughout the event. So we draw a very positive balance.
How many people participated during these two days?
We received more than 8,000 people; it was an event that was a must-attend show for people in the industry, with a lot of development in both markets. The high quality came with the SBC Leader Summit, where decision makers could meet.
We had over 400 exhibitors and sponsor brands in the exhibition hall, and a series of conferences with more than 250 speakers in general.
What were the highlights of the event?
I think the organization, the party events, the closing and networking events in general, were things that people really took advantage of. Because you can't always bring both markets together under one roof. The social networking activities were very positive, with impressive results, based on what I was told by the people who attended.
There were many regulators from North America and Latin America, and we had a new startup zone, with very good competition. Many investors attended the event. In addition, there were very good talks specifically on Latin America, with many Latin American operators present.
What can you tell us about the next edition of SBC Summit Americas in 2026?
In this event, an excellent foundation was laid for the next year, in what would be the second year. We estimate that the date for 2026 will be from June 8 to 10, slightly different from this year's, but in general, it will be around the same dates. The event will continue to be held between May and June.
For next year, obviously, our goal is to improve the experience, make it better, make it bigger. We always want to look at ways to make the events bigger so that people really enjoy the business opportunities, networking, and moving the industry forward. We hope that next year there will be a lot more people, with a lot more companies participating.
