After two days of exhibitions and a successful series of conferences, SAGSE Central America and Caribbean returned, leaving behind nine years of absence and summoning operators from all over the region, with the presence of top executives of gaming chains from Panama, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, among other Caribbean destinations.

"People from all over attended, we are truly very happy with the result of this return to Panama, after nine years of absence in our second home. This year, SAGSE regained its natural position as the trade show for Central America and the Caribbean," said Alan Burak, Vice President of Monografie, the company responsible for SAGSE events in Argentina, Paraguay, and Panama.

In an exclusive interview with Yogonet, the organizer was very pleased with the outcome of the event, because although they had expected a “glorious return”, they could not have imagined the welcome they received from the public this year in Panama. "From start to finish, we had aisles full of operators and executives with purchasing power. Suffice it to say that all the products presented at the event had been sold by the end of the first day of the exhibition," said Burak.

"I believe that SAGSE is undoubtedly positioning itself once again as the true Hub of the Americas for the gaming industry, with an exclusive event for casino owners and buyers, which offers all the advantages of being located inside a 5-star superior casino hotel, and the companies understood the level of business achieved and assured us that they will return in 2026, due to the good results achieved this week," he added.

For Burak, the hotel's service "gave a unique plus in the region" to the event held on May 7 and 8, and he stated that this event will be repeated in 2026: "After the success we experienced and are still processing today, I can assure you that SAGSE will return in early May 2026 to Sortis Hotel and Casino, with an event that will surely be larger in terms of product offer and number of companies, but that will not lose its exclusive character or the quality of visitors it had this year."

"We have to thank the enormous institutional support we received in Panama. We had a visit from the Panamanian government at the event, with the presence of the national vice-minister of Tourism and the Vice-Minister of Economy, together with the director of the Gaming Control Board, the President of the Panama Lottery, and the President of ASAJA, the main national trade association of our industry."

"All of them, together with the management and staff of the Sortis Hotel and Casino, and the support of COPA Airlines made this success possible... and to the companies that trusted in this return, which were fundamental to achieve this result, making us incredibly happy", said Burak, visibly happy with the positive outcome of SAGSE Panama. He emphasized at the end of his talk with Yogonet: "People didn't want to leave... and we had the aisles full of people until the very end of the tradeshow."

"We were able to attract a 100% Caribbean audience, we offered exhibitors a complete trade show, 100% business, with an interesting balance between the traditional casino industry and online gaming, and it is worth mentioning that we saw a large presence of land-based operators, which today is a double merit of our team when it comes to summoning operators and owners of gaming halls."

"It has been nine years since a trade show was held in Panama, and we were waiting to see how the market would respond to a new call. Today I can assure you that SAGSE has regained its natural place in the region, and next year we will have an event as effective as this one, but surely with a greater number of companies and operators present," concluded the executive.
