The Tribal Gaming Protection Network (TGPN) has announced new details for the 2024 Women in Tribal Gaming Symposium, presented by Aristocrat Gaming. The event is scheduled to take place May 22 - 23 at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino in Chandler, Arizona.

Bea Carson, Chairwoman for the Choctaw Gaming Commission, has been selected as the symposium’s Woman Warrior Honoree. A respected figure and a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, Carson has been selected for her leadership and contributions to tribal gaming, according to a statement.

The symposium's organizers note Carson has gained admiration and respect as a thought leader, having served as Chairwoman since 2013, and as an Associate Commissioner since 2001.

Frances Alvarez, TGPN Chair, said: "We are thrilled to honor Bea Carson as the 2024 Woman Warrior. Bea’s remarkable accomplishments and dedication to her community align perfectly with the values of our Women in Tribal Gaming Symposium. Her influence as a leader in the gaming industry is truly commendable."

The theme for the 2024 Women in Tribal Gaming Symposium will be 'Women Change the Conversation', a motto that seeks to reflect the "dynamic and transformative" discussions that will shape the event. "The symposium will provide a unique experience for women and allies in the tribal gaming industry, featuring networking opportunities and insights from seasoned professionals," TGPN noted.

Sponsors for the symposium include Aristocrat Gaming, as well as Gila River Resorts and Casinos, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, Reliable Security, SLOTCO, Wondr Nation, Americhek, Desert Diamond Casinos, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), and Merydyan Technologies.

"The generous support from Aristocrat Gaming as presenting sponsor, and all our sponsors reflects a shared commitment to advancing women in tribal gaming," said Alvarez. "We are grateful for the partnerships that make events like these possible," she concluded.

Registration is now open for the 2024 Women in Tribal Gaming Symposium.
