Century Casinos awarded three sports betting licenses in Colorado

Century said Friday that the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission is moving forward with licensing and will meet the May 1, 2020 legislative launch date deadline. The company said it is uncertain of the timeline that the Circa Sports TM mobile sports betting app will launch, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Century Casinos announced Friday that its Colorado subsidiaries received approval for three Sports Betting Master Licenses. The licenses were awarded during a special meeting of the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission held on Thursday. 

In addition, the Commission awarded Circa Sports Colorado, the company’s partner for one of its Master Licenses, with a temporary Internet Sports Betting Operator License.

Century said in a release that the commission is moving forward with licensing and will meet the May 1, 2020 legislative launch date deadline. Due to impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sports betting industry, the company said it is uncertain of the timeline that the Circa Sports TM mobile sports betting app will launch.
