bwin.party Digital Entertainment made a move on the Italian retail betting sector this week, announcing a collaborative brand-licensing deal with Italian retail supplier Obiettivo 2016 at a press conference in Rome.

The agreement permits Obiettivo 2016 to use the Bwin brands in Italy, with an initial plan to penetrate up to 15% of the Italian retail betting sector, promoting the brand across 400 independent retail betting stores and 300 cafes and building a network.

Bwin's contribution is its continued heavy brand marketing through advertising and sports sponsorships.
